We recognize that getting a haircut can be a traumatic experience for a lot of LGBTQ folx. Whether you’re misgendered or transitioning to a new look and given a cut or style that doesn’t reflect you, we know seeking a haircut can be a very venerable experience. Our expert stylist will meet with you one on one to learn your hair care routine, any accessibility issues you may have, your #hairgoals and preferences before they ever pick up a pair of shears.
We don’t use antiquated gender pricing or styles.
Finding clothing that fits, that reflect your true self is hard enough, but add in gendered stores and departments, accessibility issues and maybe a bit of nerves and it can be emotionally exhausting. The Hawthorn Collective offers styling advice from LGBTQ folx ranging from style development to alterations. We will work to pair you with a stylist you click with and work to help you find key pieces within your budget that help you feel confident and free.
Whether you just need a trim or you're brand new to shaving, we've got you covered. We know how tricky those first hairs can be when you're on T or other hormone therapy so let us know your goals and we'll keep you looking sharp as your hair starts thickening. Alternatively, our shaving experts can help you get the closest shave possible for minimizing the look of facial hair. Whatever your needs, we'll be there for you.
